Dr. Van Williams, PhD, CPEP
The ProActive Realty Income Fund team is led by Dr. Van Williams, who has over 20 years of active experience in real estate investment and management. As a private investor, Mr. Williams has a track record of transforming distressed properties into high-quality, cash-flow positive assets. His long-term specialization in underserved and working-class areas has given him significant advantage in sourcing, revitalizing, and managing such properties. To date, Dr. Williams has been involved in buying, selling, and repositioning over $30 million in commercial and residential real estate.
Dr. Williams earned a PhD in Psychology from Madison University. He is a Certified Private Equity Professional (CPEP) and member of the Private Equity Association. Additionally, Mr. Williams is a Registered Property Manager with the International Real Estate Institute, a Certified Business Mediator with the National Association of Mediators, and he holds a certificate in green property management from Allied University. Mr. Williams is also certified in psychology and social work and hotel and restaurant management.

Michael Zajas is a real estate investments and acquisitions leader with experience in sourcing, underwriting, developing investment strategy, fund creation and management, investor relations, capital raising and portfolio optimization. In the last six years Mr. Zajas worked as a principal with startup ventures or projects to become capitalized, create investment strategies and execute on plans.

Lee has extensive experience as a business consultant and managing partner of a real estate investment and capital acquisition firm. He has a diverse background in Sales Management, Operations Management, Marketing, Financial Services, Business Administration, and Wealth Management. Previously, as a Senior Financial Advisor and Wealth Manager, he provided sound financial advice and value-added service to his clients while always striving to build long-term relationships based on mutual trust, respect, and integrity. He built and co-managed an investment portfolio consisting of over $250 million dollars in assets under management.

Lee has also owned and co-owned small businesses within different industries and understands what it takes to navigate successfully through the obstacles of the business landscape. He is a resourceful and innovative professional with over 25 years of Financial and Operations Management experience within a broad range of industries and products. He has held P&L responsibilities. He has expertise in initiating projects and programs that boost productivity and efficiency while enhancing the customer experience. He is a true hands-on Manager with proven skills in analysis, building, strategic planning, development, budgeting, motivation, and improvement of operations through policies that promote a team-based work atmosphere, creative thinking, and a positive effect on the corporate bottom line.

Active in his local communities, Lee has participated and served in many civic and community organizations including The Langley Civic Leaders Association, School Board Trustee at Trinity Lutheran School and several other local community boards.
